Summer 52: Plum Island

Absolutely gorgeous, as you can see.
Even when it was raining...

So Em and I like to sit on the couch in Cushing-Martin.
It just happens to be a very beautiful spot. Near some very beautiful English profs...

Pri's grad party. =)
I have about a zillion of them looking at the yearbook and then someone in the kitchen must have said something surprising, because they are all looking there.
I think it's cute that they're all smiling!

Kay left for the summer. =(
We threw her a partay before this happened.
I actually kind of really like this picture.
It was pretty spontaneous, but I reeeally like the juxtaposition of the gorgeous, dressy girls and the basement pipes and cement.
I think it's an interesting statement...

These now are no longer related to the days. Just my best pictures and then we'll skip some days and pick up where we left off.
Good?
Great. =)

Cape trip weekend- trip to the beach to watch the sunset with my Faaaaves!

I had originally decided to take a picture of Gramma and Dad because they ended up dressed in the same way (long-sleeve blue tailored shirt and dark jeans), but I love this picture not for their twin-ness as it turns out.
I honestly think it epitomizes their relationship.
Dad is saying something silly and Gram finds it hilarious. This is 80% of what they do. If Gramma hasn't cried from laughing by the end of the visit, someone must be sick.
I love her face; I love that she is laughing. Just pure laughter. She doesn't do that enough. =) ♥ ♥

I just LOVE this picture of O.
This is one of my favorites from this month I think.
I love the look of pure GLEE on his face, and if you check out the bottom third of the picture and see the blurry whiteness, you might gather that his happiness was due, in-part, to his having thrown a stuffed animal at me the previous second.
Little GOOSE. I love him though. How could you not love that face?!

I have to figure out why, sometimes, my blog dulls colors. SO LAME.
Well this was more vivid, but this will simply have to do.
Wandered around everywhere with Britt and Pri today. This picture was taken at Forest Ave. We wandered around inside and then wandered around the wetlands and then wandered around the playground. This was after we had hit up the Riverside Gun Club and before (?) the Target run.
Love her shadow and her position on the swing. =)

Aww, Cotuit.
I like the various levels that people are at in this picture- I think it makes it a better picture than it would be otherwise (because only Lyssa is really smiling... well, Kathleen too, I guess, but it's her profile so it's hard to see...)
And it's definitely better with less color! (I way desaturated it)

Daddy!
He was picking up lady rocks for me.
(Lady rocks are the pretty white quartz ones. The others are all man rocks. I established this when I was like 5.)
Happy smiles in this picture. =)

Greggo hates this picture, but I kinda like it. Forgiving the background (and my crappy use of light...), I think he looks sweet. Which I think he is. And he doesn't give himself enough credit for it. But whatever, enough with the psychoanalysis.
He was happy. That's nice.

Today was a "Just Keep Swimming" kind of day. It's kind of a "Just Keep Swimming" kind of week. It's midterms. Ugh.

I wasn't sure whether I liked this shoot, but I actually kind of like the way the comforter can pass for waves, with the blue and the diagonal creases. I also like some of the fishies that are swimming the wrong way. I think they're cute. And fun. Good for them for swimming against the crowd...

And these poor Goldfish got eaten after their photoshoot!

And Fiona reappears in my photoblog! Congratulations, girl, haha!

I love this scene. I have to admit that I encouraged her to make the bears kiss, but I think the way she's looking at them is just classic. It's so "little kid." And I think it looks like a very sweet interaction going on between the bears, too. Like the boy bear just gave flowers to the girl bear and she's so happy and now they're kissing! ...It's okay that I'm ridiculous... right? Good. =)

I kind of wish that one bear wasn't white, though. Oh well.

This is your daily smile.
I don't think it's a good-quality photograph, but if you can look at this and not smile, I want you to teach me how to play poker.

We had a sober dance party tonight in Cotuit. It was wonderful. We used Eve's speaker system and her disco ball which is 6 inches high (including a battery...) and we just danced out the week. =) It felt good. I was taking pictures of my girls' shadows on the ceiling and someone instigated a star.
I like it.
This picture took a lot of processing (as you can imagine...), but I like its simplicity; I don't think that the (almost)over-processing takes away from it too much. It wasn't too much to begin with, so since it's only really got simplicity going for it, I don't mind that it's kind of grainy, etc. Rock on Cotuit.

We had a dance party tonight in Cotuit. I got some really fun shots of Eve and Elsa, but they turned out to not be so good for editing because of the horrendous lighting conditions. I love Eve's freeness in this picture. Dancing is her release and I think that definitely shows through here. She looks like she's having fun, too. =)
Thanks Eve! ♥

I want better photoediting software. But also, I miss my 35mm. All that aside, I do like this picture. I feel like I start every entry off like this, but I feel the need to defend all my pictures. I don't love most of them, but I like all of them. I guess I just have to remember the speed at which I'm taking these pictures. Posting a decent one every day is actually hard!
Aside from the fact that Lyss's fingertips are red, I like the red color isolation. I have to admit that I had to use all the automatic settings in order for it to let me isolate color (aHAH, maybe thaaat's why I don't like this picture so much- it embarrasses me that it's blurry!), but I really did end up liking the red isolation.
I also really like Judy Garland over Lyss's head. I think I wish that that book wasn't there at her feet, but, eh, what can you do.
And props to Jame for carrying on a conversation with Lyss while I was taking these so that I could get this picture. =)

I love this picture.
These are my girls. This makes me smile every time I look at it, which is how I knew it was the one to post. The chemistry in this picture is outstanding as far as I'm concerned, and that was interesting for me to realize. I was worried because, when I was shooting, I realized that I hadn't gotten any in which all three girls were smiling. It turns out, though, that this is way better. The interaction in this picture is so. typical. that it totally stood out to me. And I really like the desaturation and contrast. =)
Had the girls over to make pizza (and a dessert pizza!) and then went out for a drive and watched silly TV at Kaity's. All in all, a much-needed night of fun, laughs, and carelessness.

And I will never stop laughing everytime I look at Steph's face in this picture. Oh Steph, you are so priceless. <3
