Summer 52: Plum Island

While I was walking down the street to take this,

a man passing me the other way muttered that a "photo can't capture..."

Summer 50.75: Exploring the beach caves after dinner

We went for a quick walk on the beach after dinner and before we took our group picture.

Cool caves and kinda wonky light settings. I really like it though.

This was our half day of work and Josh was hanging with me.

I think he looks almost perfectly hipster-

certainly an admirable amount of hipsterness for not having any clue what a hipster is, I'm sure.

Summer 46: Kennebunk on 95N

Joseph and I stopped for lunch on our way up to Machias.

And look at the gorgeous ceiling of this rest stop!

I've always loved the Kennebunk stop.

Summer 31: Line Dancing at Lake Massapoag

In between the second and third sets of the concert

with Sharon Concert Band, the DJ was playing group dancing songs.

I can't remember which song this was, but I thought it was so sweet.

Lyss and I passed this on our walk home from the bar yesterday

It was beautiful!

The nearly-ocean-front property didn't hurt either.

Went to Guilford for the weekend to see Lyssa

and went in to Chinatown to meet up with Kate

Walked around the common for a bit;

they have the prettiest graveyards in Boston.

Summer 13: Window to Summer

Gramma and Grampa have these GREAT windows on their porch.

I've always loved these windows-

they open inward and they have screens that open outwards,

and they are long and narrow so you can hang out the wash from inside!

They always seemed magical to me somehow.

Like... I could sneak outside via the window and it was just SO MUCH COOLER than using the door.

You know?

I love Iz.I have a great picture of her and Em together, but this one is better photographically. Which tells you how crappy the other one must be, hahaha. =)
Nice to just play on the quad with my friends sometimes.

Summer 9: Taking advantage of the Farm

This isn't my favorite photo from today,

but it does represent the space well.

I felt a particular affinity to growing things today,

so I went to the farm to just be with them.

Coming from a sleepy seed, eating the dirt,

completely changing your form so your life makes sense,

blooming and pushing hard through the earth to reach the sun?

Yeah. I gotchu, homeskillet. We're speakin' the same language.

Peter needed a friend to help with his elementary school's show, so I decided that this would be the year I learned how to use a spotlight!

Summer 5: Scooper Bowl
SURE-sponsored trip to the Scooper Bowl in Boston.It's always nice to be paid for an afternoon of not doing work.
Hannah is the epitome of summer in this picture, and yet still the epitome of herself.She's got sunglasses and ice cream, but not in the typical fashion. An interesting summer living with this one, to be sure.
