It's spring. 'Nough said?
(Another that looked better before I uploaded it. Damn, that stinks)

Yellow!
Lyss just happened to lay down on my floor and match my backpack perfectly, so I stole her image again. Sorry Lyss.
Not an awesome picture, but there are elements that I like.
Like the sunglasses. I like the shine and the way they're see-through at the same time. Nice effect.
I also like that the picture is all in shades of yellow/brown/black. =)

I would just like to express my dislike of automatic focus at this moment.
One day, I will have a digital camera that has every feature that I desire in it. Until then, I have to live with a compromise, and that compromise happens to be manual focus (well, among other things).
Orange, though. And all things that are pretty pertinent in my life right now. I mean, Pooh's always important, I suppose. But Spanish and scissors and the Dan Hogan album... =)
Good stuff.

Day 1 of Color Week.
=) Red, naturally.
I really like that the apple in this picture is red, obviously, but also has yellow and blue and black in it. It's one of those "there's more to this than meets the eye" sort of things.
I like red. Good chair, too.

This is not my favorite picture (I don't think) from this adventure, but it exemplifies the week's theme the best I think.
We climbed up onto the roof of the Duffy Academic Building. Which is probably not something I should be publicizing on the interwebs, but eh, there it is. Anyway, this is the top of Duffy. =)

I like that it incorporates the roof and the satellite and the sky. =)

Gotta love Donahue. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
Love the columns, love the sky.
It was a beautiful (and hyperactive) day. And we celebrated Eve's (19th!) birthday. =)
And had a nice walk around Donahue.

This is "up" from the other side of Duffy, hah!
Though it wasn't a particularly dramatic sky, I really like the angles on Duffy.
I have an exciting viewpoint of Duffy planned for a few days from now too... =)
Stay tuned all!

Me and my skies. I just love them. This is "up" outside Duffy parking lot. At 9AM. I LOVE morning skies. I don't always love being up in the morning to see the morning skies, but usually once I see the sky in the morning it makes me feel better. And it's always so quiet on campus at this time. It even feels quiet.
Okay enough philosophizing.
"Up" numero cuatro.

Dining Commons "up."
This is one of those places that people don't tend to look up. I'm not a huge fan of the composition or the picture, but I do think it's blog-worthy. It's a place I frequent and this is its "up."
The ceiling actually looks kind of cool in this picture- almost like it doesn't have angles because of the way the shadows work...
hmh!

Cotuit "up" picture.
I didn't really like it when I ttok it, but now that I look back at it I like it a lot. There was actually one other one from this shoot that I ended up liking a lot which was fun.
And it's one of those pictures that just shouldn't be in color.
I love all the shades of grey.

Commence theme "Up"
The preposition, not the movie.
This was in the... Davis Square? T station.
Cool ceiling, huh?!
Too bad it's not really straight... I tried to straighten it, but it was one of those things where every time I straightened one angle, another was crooked. =(
Good start to the theme, though, I think.

Relay for Life tonight
Luminaria Ceremony.
It was pretty powerful- watching the whole Spoco light up with glowsticks.
Remembering everyone, knowing that everyone was thinking about someone, and probably everyone was thinking about someone different.

Spring is finally here!
We rejoiced on our beautiful Friday. It was really hard to go to class from 2:30-5 today, but of course I did it.
So bright and happy!

I just love MacPhaidin. Look at the amazing architecture.
And I'm SO THRILLED that I got this awesome picture of the moon!
That's what made this picture a worthy "Sunsets and Silhouettes" picture. The amazing crescent moon hanging over the beautiful architecture of our wonderful library.
Sigh. ♥ Our gorgeous campus.

More sunsets and silhouettes. And there are more coming... Whoops. Oh well.
I've always said that one of my favorite things about going to school in Eastern MA is the flatness and the gorgeous sunsets. Also, the blog dimmed the colors on this picture again. So lame.
Anyway, I took this as I was walking to the Writing Center. I love the contrail over Duffy. I think that's what made me take it. Because I have enough other sky pictures, I had to make this one at least a little different...
Heh heh... anyway...

Sometimes I have fail days.
Today was one of those days.
This picture is from yesterday. Please don't judge. It's hard getting back from spring break...
I like it though!
What a cool door!
This is Portland- it's the view from the front(?) door of Allen and Sara's church.
And my first non-black-and-white picture in like four days. Hm.
Enjoy? =)

I wish this picture had better resolution. The light was too low and I didn't adjust my settings well. LAME.
But I think it's a good picture despite my lack of photography skills. It's so warm! Sweetsweetsweet.
Thanks for being my model Shelley! (And Kathryn, of course!)

I just love Sasha. She's one of my favorite models. It's like my preference for brunette models. Sasha and brunettes are just better in black and white. And sometimes you need a good black and white. Sofi's gorgeous, but she's just not as good as Sasha when it comes to B+W.

Also, I really like the look on her face. What are those ten braincells thinking about?!

I love candles. I always light them when I go home since I can't have them at school. Although I do have fake candles...

Anyway. The reason that I chose this picture is the picture in the background. I just think it's a cool idea/angle. Because the candle is the main focus of the picture, but the framed picture is important too. Kaity's made fun of the little table that I have all my candles on because it has dried flowers, candles, and a picture of her, so it looks like a shrine. Maybe it is a shrine...

=) Enjoyyy.

Stopped at a really cool graveyard on my way home from Framingham today.
The sun was blindingly bright, though, so I tried to work with it. It was making fierce shadows, so I had to go for it. I think that's what makes this the picture of the day- the letters shouldn't be so visible, and only are because of the wonderful shadows.
I had some others with a church in the background, but they were fouled up by a tree. =( SAD.

I went Sacajawea-ing.
This is my favorite picture from the day I think. It's the most original out of all of my pictures. I really love the movement in it - you can really see how quickly the water was rushing. I had some other nice pictures, but they were less exciting. I think that this one is just really exciting. =)

Waiting for momma at the busstop I watched the sun go down. I, as you must know by now, am a huge fan of silhouettes, and I thought this one was way too good to miss. I just love the ...church? and the multi-colored sky. It's my FAVORITE. It's too bad the lamp got in the way on the left. I suppose I should probably crop it out.
Huh.

Maybe I'll do that for the facebook album.
Anyway. I hope you don't mind this picture even though I have a couple others that are pretty similar to it... Sunsets and silhouettes are my weakness. =)

Sorry I've been so lax about updating. I'm off to Boston to visit Katia now, but I'll update when I get back. PINKY SWEAR.
Because I keep getting yelled at. I got reprimanded for my lack of updatingness TWICE in TEN MINUTES. Eve and Torie you must have communicated and planned that? Anyway, I'm glad that people read it, and I've told people to yell at me when I don't update it because it's good motivation. So anyway.

I took this picture in the park, actually. Ten points if you can tell me what part area of Wood Park I was looking at when I took this (it's sort of a trick question). I think the thing that I'm most impressed with in this picture is the color, actually, because when I just looked at it with my eyes, it looked pretty monochromatic, but this is much more colorful than just brown. There are some nice whites and blue in the sky. =)

Until later, amigos.
