What a beautiful tree.

Given that this blog has been going for a bit, I'm trying to take some pictures of the Hill that don't look like all of the typical situations. I think this is a fairly good example of that. I love those stairs though. =)

Yes, yes I know this is cheating, but there were SO many good sunrise pictures that day!

I like this one because it's totally different colors than the other ones. It's not so much the fiery sunrise colors as the calm morning colors you might expect. =) And the lake looks beautiful, too.

This was our race site from our walk-through on Saturday. I wanted to post it on Saturday, butI had the sunrise picture. =)

It has been yucky today, so I decided to post this instead. I thought this tree was really pretty. I think I took this while Kaity and Ms Weed (Carolyn, ugh, I can't get used to that) and Mair (LOVE) talked to another triathlete.

It's weird to me that the water has no definition. I dunno what that's about.

TRIATHLON DAY.

This is another sunrise.

If you look closely at the bottom right corner, you can see that this silhouette isn't all bike- that's another triathlete. =)

I saw the sunrise two days in a row. I don't know what was up with that. But I woke up this morning and there was the sunrise. So I took some pictures of it for ten minutes and went back to sleep. It's weird for me to have this picture, too, because in my head I know it's facing east, so there shouldn't be sunset colors. But it isn't a sunset, anyway! =)

I really like the black and white and blue going on here. Not the best picture, but I was standing around with my entire religion class about to get shuffled into the museo by the AMAZING Mary Joan Leith.

I like this picture, and I especially like this picture in B+W, but it does lack a focal point, which annoys me. Like... it's the perfect canvas for something, but nothing is actually going on here. Maybe that can be a nice comment on the serenity of the woods? Yeah? Maybe?

It was an absolutely gorgeous fall day- the first of many, I hope.

Jame and Sean and I went for a walk behind New Hall and this just jumped out at me. Look at that incredible reflection of the sky. O'Hara pond, you are good for something.

Definitely not a prize-winning picture. But I consider it to be a feat just to have gotten a picture of Grampa where there is no table in sight. Any one of my relatives, actually, but especially Grampa.

Another beautiful day at the hill.

Even though it's off-center and has no real focal point, I still like this picture for its representational qualities. It encapsulates what is so great about being at Stonehill during the fall. The white of Donahue against the gorgeous blue sky (okay, so it's marred with clouds, what of it?) next to a pretty tree that's changing color and the brick edifice of the Student Union.

Another picture that just wasn't great in color but is better in B+W. It so feels like cheating.

Stone in the sidewalk outside New Hall (god I feel dumb calling it that).

I like the contrast in patterns between the brick and the star pattern in the granite.

Cool angle on New Hall, I thought.

Obvy I like all the lines. I also like how the lamppost kind of fits right in with the vertical lines on the building and you might not even notice it was there except for the light part at the top! =)

Staircase in the new building.

I really liked the pipes, I thought they were cool and industrial-looking, and a good contrast to the stark white walls. Also, the cute red flashy fire alarm thingy and the bottom red pipe add some interest.

Not going to win any awards, but kind of a cool study in color.

This is my first picture of the hill this year! I love the hill so much. I had forgotten how pretty it is!

I took this shot laying on the bricks and I think my English professor passed me while I was taking it. Well. I guess she knows I'm insane now.
