This is the sunset with no hand in front of it.
It was a really great sunset. =)
Just for us!

Sunset was beautiful.
I think the picture speaks for itself, honestly.
Hand credit to KayRyan.

...OH. This is a silhouette and a sunset in ONE PICTURE.
I may have just outdone myself.

These now are no longer related to the days. Just my best pictures and then we'll skip some days and pick up where we left off.
Good?
Great. =)

Cape trip weekend- trip to the beach to watch the sunset with my Faaaaves!

My brother decides that the way he wants to wake up on his wedding day is by taking a dip in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Maine.
Well, damn, it was cold.
Mom took this pretty epic picture of everyone right after Dom yelled, "Three!"
It could be another metaphorical picture about youthful people running headfirst into the cold ocean of life... but that's a little English-major-y of me.
It's kind of just a nice picture- lots of good shades of grey and black. And some fog, ha!

Aw! My padres!
This was at the rehearsal dinner. =)
Not too much to say about it except that I believe my direction for this (second try) photo was, "Pretend you like each other."
Hahaha. Awww, padres.

I like this picture as a representation of the whole (wedding) weekend.
Dom and Mike looking "into the distance" and contemplating their futures, but together. There's definitely an air of togetherness about the way they're sitting and it looks like Dom is talking to Mike.
The picture itself got a little washed out again (because of the freaking uploading to the blog. Whatever), but I really like what it says about the two of them. =)

I had originally decided to take a picture of Gramma and Dad because they ended up dressed in the same way (long-sleeve blue tailored shirt and dark jeans), but I love this picture not for their twin-ness as it turns out.
I honestly think it epitomizes their relationship.
Dad is saying something silly and Gram finds it hilarious. This is 80% of what they do. If Gramma hasn't cried from laughing by the end of the visit, someone must be sick.
I love her face; I love that she is laughing. Just pure laughter. She doesn't do that enough. =) ♥ ♥

I just LOVE this picture of O.
This is one of my favorites from this month I think.
I love the look of pure GLEE on his face, and if you check out the bottom third of the picture and see the blurry whiteness, you might gather that his happiness was due, in-part, to his having thrown a stuffed animal at me the previous second.
Little GOOSE. I love him though. How could you not love that face?!

Hung out with Britt and Pri again today (obviously...)
Went to Erikson's for no reason. It was delicious, as always.
I heartily enjoy Britt's impromptu pose for my picture. It was much appreciated, Britt. Thank you.

I have to figure out why, sometimes, my blog dulls colors. SO LAME.
Well this was more vivid, but this will simply have to do.
Wandered around everywhere with Britt and Pri today. This picture was taken at Forest Ave. We wandered around inside and then wandered around the wetlands and then wandered around the playground. This was after we had hit up the Riverside Gun Club and before (?) the Target run.
Love her shadow and her position on the swing. =)

Throwback picture!
Gorgeous rainbow that happened during finals- it was so vivid. And I thought it was really fun, too, because it kind of brought the whole campus together. I was in the library at the Writing Center and there were people just standing outside on the steps looking at it and talking about it, and there were listservs and it was just great. =)

Birthday post! YAY I'M TWENTY!
These stairs were so cool. And the lady walking up them was actually pretty cool, too. A random stranger who stopped to tell me that I had dropped something (my camera case) and then proceeded up the stairs.
I like the geometry in this picture (what else is new. I'm a new age, but not a new person). There are SO many cool shapes- the lines of the stairs vs the railings, the rectangles on the buildings, the triangle on the awning... SO GOOD.
Lovelovelove.
I also like that it has a few main colors and shades.
Not one of my fave faves, but it has a lot of my favorite elements. =)

Beautiful orchid.
I love the curves of the stems just above and below the orchid, and I think it's fun that one is close and one is far.
I took so many shots of this orchid- it was hard because there were people in the background!
The dark pink is really quite pretty, though!

These leaves cast such a fascinating shadow. I really like it in black and white. The original colors were dark green and a warm yellow, and the contrast is just so much better on this!
I also like the thirds in this picture. There's the left third of the leaves, the middle of the shadow, and the right third of the bare wall. Hm. =)

Definitely not enough light in this picture. Cute kitty though!
I like the shadow and how all the colors are along the same lines- yellows and browns and whites. Love it.
Weird light situation though.

The last day of Cotuit.
This is another blog vs photograph.
Adorable. We made it through the year without killing each other, girls! (maybe barely, but...)
Love you all. =)

Aww, Cotuit.
I like the various levels that people are at in this picture- I think it makes it a better picture than it would be otherwise (because only Lyssa is really smiling... well, Kathleen too, I guess, but it's her profile so it's hard to see...)
And it's definitely better with less color! (I way desaturated it)

I don't even remember what Dad was cooking, but I remember liking the scallions on the bamboo cutting board. Kinda Oriental looking! =)
I was obviously home- came home to do works and have 0 distractions. Worked pretty well.
And MMM food that doesn't suck!

Em and I went to the town's public library to do work!
She studied for Lit History and I wrote my papers for Ellen.
It was a good study sesh- good effort, Em!

Isn't the Ames Free Library gorgeous though?
Stinks that I didn't take more care with this picture (the light around the windows is kind of weird), but I guess I can argue that I was studying...?
